Course outline
The course will outline the key ideas in science which are most useful in our attempt to "explain things". It will review what is happening at the frontiers of science, focusing particularly on those observations and concepts, that are most useful in explaining the origin and destiny of the Universe, and of physical life. It will discuss the nature of reliable knowledge, and the way in which theologians and scientists approach the search for the paradigms and analogies on which our understanding must depend. The course will consider the various approaches used to integrate our understanding of the scientific and biblical data into a one world view of reality. The topics will be discussed with the particular needs of those going into Christian ministry in mind.
