| How did we develop?
World of Science began in 1968 as an interdenominational Christian
organization presenting the Moody Institute of Science films at the Canadian
National Exhibition. Over the subsequent 12 years, the programs
attracted seasonal attendance as high as 52,000. Other evangelistic
activities have included sponsoring Moody films on community cable TV,
assisting Yonge Street Mission to establish a film ministry, and promoting
Christian seminars in Ontario. For many years, World of Science
sponsored Dean Ortner from Moody Institute of Science, who used his unique
talents and scientific knowledge to illustrate spiritual messages through
scientific phenomena. |
How can you help?
Without your prayers and gifts, the creative, life-changing work of World
of Science cannot continue. We do not have major sponsors but rather
depend on the support of individuals. Many recognize our good
stewardship of donations to this registered charitable organization.
Over the years, much of the work has been done by volunteers, and since
there have never been any office rents paid, overhead costs have been kept
to a minimum. This provides good value for funds given. Though
finances are necessary for the ministry, prayer is even more critical to
produce genuine spiritual fruit. Won't you pray for World of Science
as we creatively seek to bring truth to this sceptical generation?
Thank you. |
